Anyone have or had a pair of these wheels as I have just bought a pair from Kinetic after reading nothing but fantastic reviews on them, cant find a neg one........challenge

Fantastic reviews? Has no-one noticed what those things weigh? I wouldn't dream of paying almost £200 for wheels that weight 1.9kg. They may look like fancy wheels, but they're not. I could build a set of 30mm alloy wheels for £200 that weigh <1.5kg so I just don't get these at all. Sorry, but I think you wasted your money.

Not everyone can build wheels. You could also argue that not everyone wants to or has the time. If the OP is happy with the wheels then i think you will be hard pushed to explain why he has wasted his money. I run Rs30's on my winter/rain bike and, whilst not the lightest at 1.9kg or so, they take anything i can throw at them and are 50 times better than the stock Maddux wheels. Just be sure to run decent tyres on whatever wheels you choose. That's where most people skimp.
To the OP, enjoy your new wheels. They do look the business. Of course only you know how they will perform on your bike. Keep us posted.

Good choice. I run Vittoria open corsa's on my good bike. They roll great and are seriously comfortable on the crappy Scottish roads where i frequent. . No punctures yet either, touch wood.

I think the K1s with the Vittorias will be an ideal choice as we have literally 100s of miles of completely flat roads in Lincolshire to bomb around

Yea and some stupidly steep hills near Lincoln. Station road at Waddington rings a bell, not long right enough, but when your loaded and only a 30/26 gearing, it takes you by surprise.

The rest of the ride to London seemed easier after that though, mind still ended up pushing a few more, but not till after Huntingdon. You see my way of think was that if I get over to the A15 from Dewsbury, it would be quite easy, knowing the 15 to be pretty flat. I was right for the most part, just that one and one Just after I set off and Conisbourgh. Mind I not sure my current low gearing would have got me up that one, 26/32 was 34 but the gear got bent and got a new 8 sp cassette that I have taken apart and put the upper 6 plus the locking gear of my old one so I have 26/38/48 and 13-15-18-21-24-28-32, though I might change it to 11-28 as i am getting better, and whilst there are a few steep inclines around here the one up to my house is a 7-8% (but it's only for about 100yrd) I can do that in 38/26 unless really tired, or when I get an 8sp shifter I might go 13-15-17-19-21-23-28-32, as last wk I was using the 15-21 gears and keeping a better cadence.Ahh yes my car struggled up that,
