Manly hug at births, deaths and Marriages, none of this muddle class fake smooching and if I'm forced into it, I deliberately cause confusion so it doesn't happen again. Otherwise a hello with a curt nod suffices, it's not like I really like anyone anyway.
Oh, Crackle, so lovely to see you!! <clings on to sleeve, lunges forward> :girl:

Maybe Z! Us metrosexuals like a good smooch. I'd give you a stiff handshake I think.
A limp handshake being worse than an air kiss.

This is really amusing ^_^

I worked for so long in continental climes that a quick three (yes - Swiss excesses ) cheek pecks has become just normal with most colleagues. More amazing is that a good number of my Scottish (male) colleagues have also lived in Switzerland so long that it's the usual greeting when I I meet them even in the UK - which does bemuse UK colleagues as we (me, a Yorkshire woman) go through the whole hugging and kissing routine.

A good handshake, maybe a hug (long time no see) all this kiss on the cheek sh1t gets a bit confusing, is it one cheek or two and in some cases (for some) it's three and four if it's the boss................
