We would like to have kept them but we have a fast country road outside our door and I am tired of scraping cats up.

My friend who lives at the other end of the village has a secure cat run for her gang at the back of her house. She lives on a busy road where people speed a lot, so it's peace of mind. On the other hand, I live on a glorified farm track and the girls can come and go as they please.

You really can't say "I see your this and raise you that" It would be called a "string bet" which is against the rules and would be cheating. You "see" OR you can "raise" Once you "see" your turn is finsihed. Bah!

I have a gingery mog called Harry! Also named for a certain prince as he ended up at Battersea around the time of the last (major) royal wedding

I miss having ginger animals in the house, had a great cat that we inherited of my other half's mum, a very badly bred ginger Maine Coon rescued from a kitten farm. We renamed him Chuck Norris, a very ironic naming as he was so scraggly for his breed. He was very odd, had a habit of sitting on chimney stacks of second story buildings and more than once tried to make a running leap through doubled glazed windows  . My first dog was also ginger, a little staffie x mastiff, they were both larger than life characters who weren't with us for long enough and we lost them both in quick succession sadly.

Never mind the ginger ones, give me the torties!!!

Oh yes. Willful, opinionated, mardy and paranoid, yet so very wonderfully affectionate. That's my Poppy.

P.S. I confess to having tortie-itis

This was Techno (also known as The Bear) she ruled the house with an iron paw that neither cat nor dog nor human was safe from! She played a big part in training a significant number of very big dogs to be very respectful towards the soft fluffy balls with flick knives! Sadly had to be pts at the wise old age of 21 last year.

e2a Poppy definitely has that fierce stare, they're very special, if occasionally challenging, cats!
