Knife nicked

It looks like some light fingered larry nicked my knife last night: not a client here, because there were two on duty and I know they wouldn't steal anything, but some lad who appears to have wandered in while there was a performance at the theatre and had a poke around in my desk.

The knife was getting a bit old and wobbly, but it's still annoying.

On the other hand my toolkit includes my Grandfathers chisel in a hand made holster given to my by a previous boss. Fortunately he didn't nick that too -probably didn't know what it was.

Why'd you use a wobbly knife?

Time for a new knife then,

I've had one of these for years, the blades are a bit short (the 'long' one is about 2 1/2 inch) but pretty sharp but the grips are excellent and the screwdriver really useful.

Was he the fastest chisel in the west?

Probably a sharpshooter.

P1030696.JPG The thieving bastards at Canadian Air Transport Security Authority stole my $10 gas torch/cigar lighter from my checked-in bag five days ago. Quite how I was supposed to be a threat from a distance of several thousand miles still has me scratching my head.

Knife is one of those n+1 items. I carry my Swiss Army forester model (with saw) in the backpack and my Leatherman mini (with full sized pliers) in the bike bag. I have a bunch of single blade ones in regular use including an Opinel, a nice old bone handled Sheffield steel pruning knife (good for courgettes) a tough Buck Lite lockback for DIY and an original Leatherman for odd jobs around the house.
Treat yourself to a new or vintage knife.
