Narrow road so the car that wasn't there when I shoulder checked 30 seconds before. Overtook me and sideswiped me into hedge, they then hit brakes and then accelerated off.
Luckily a nice couple stopped called ambulance for me.
Upshot is rotator cuff damage to shoulder,
Bike at LBS for a check over,
Police think the driver unlikely to report it

Yikes, thats horrible, on the bright side it could have been much worse from the sounds of it. Heal Fast!

Sorry to hear that, Bill ... There are some right tossers driving about!

Rotator cuff injuries can take a lot of time to heal. I damaged my right shoulder a while back and it was a couple of years before it was right again. Mind you, I didn't get any rehab for mine. I'd advise you to do rehab exercises as soon as you can bear to do them, as directed by a good physiotherapist!

Thanks Colin I had my right rotator repaired a long time ago and damaged the left a few years ago which forced me to stop propping at rugby so am well used to the Physio pain exercises needed

Sorry to read this. I hope that your shoulder sorts itself out soon.
So many drivers just don't think and shove past, totally ignoring the highway code. We had a near miss with a white transit yesterday. He couldn't wait 5 seconds for us to reach the passing place. He missed us though.
We hope that the LBS has good news and that your bike is OK.

Jeez - hope you're ok?

Nothing can quite convey the absolute contempt I have for drivers like this.

Time to go viral - Give us a full description of the car, where it was, where it was heading, occupants, reg if you got it, time/date etc. Would the car have been damaged hitting you/where would that be (wing/mirror/door?)

I'm sure that a Twitter retweet campaign could prove useful? You never know till you try.
