Knowing your limits.....CAAD10 105 triple

I know its a dirty word amongst purists but I need a triple. I love the liquigas colours and my local LBS just cannot get hold of 2013 CAAD10. Call it age, a knackered knee but I forget the amount of times I have passed roadies mashing on mega hills with the wrong gearing on my humble Tricross. So I thought I would translate that spinning technique into a bit of a bling, full on road bike.

I was so tempted with a Carbon Rose Ultegra for about £300 more but ive heard theres little difference between 105 and utlegra for the stuff I do and the resale value of a CAAD10 appears to be very strong should I eventually get rid.

with Campag Centuar compact 34T with the new 30t cog gives a 1:1.13 lowest gear ratio whereas the Centuar triple gives 1:1.

My belief that the longer Alpine climbs may necessitate the lower ratio but not our short climbs here in S England. Even now I am baking a hat shaped cake.

I like riding triples, it's just a personal taste/preference thing plus I do not give a crap what other people think

probably because they cant be arsed to take a photo of every single frame /gear / wheel combination for every bike they sell

I've never used a triple TBH, but as for the CAAD10, it's an awesome bike, I love mine
