KP to never play for England again...

Tuffers was Middlesex wasn't he?

My problem with Middlesex started in the 60s when I was a nipper.

John Murray played for England and looked ancient: even when he was young in the swinginbg 60s.
Then came John Price who had a looong and ridiculous run up, starting at extra cover, aiming for mid-wicket and then straightened and ran at the bloke in the white coat before letting go. The bowler with the most exaggerated parabola (pair of balls ) I've ever seen.

And then the 80s which was a free for all if you played for Middlesex: MJ Smith, Brearley, Radley, Gatting, Slack, Butcher, Downtown, Edmonds, Emburey, Ramprakash - and then the modern crop, whom I can't be bothered to mention.

One day, Martin, we'll spend four days watching a mediocre 2nd Division game between the middle and east Saxons and have plenty of sarnies and cakes and even more beer at either Lords or Chelmsford.

John Price is a nice guy. He used to play for Wembley CC, who had a hedge that curtailed his run up in the early days...hence the bend on the run up. He lived next door to my accountant friend, Mike. Plenty of tickets for HQ from these stalwarts of the egg n bacon club. Chelmsford please, Dave - my last two visits to SJW have been dressing up jobs. "You can't polish a..." etc - but you can get in the enclosure!

I don't get it. 6 months ago the England cricket team were sh**ter than a s**t thing on a sh**ty stick. Now the way the press is going, they are the world's best team. Without really changing much personnel wise.

This is like Accrington Stanley getting thrashed by Man City (expected), clawing a 1-0 win a Cup game (possible) but then being the bookies favourites for the next meeting
