LA in Oslo

I´d heard that LA was in town to promote his charity and make an appearance at the Oslo GP!

I thought I´d head into town to see of there were any freebies/cheap things on offer.

Saw a group of camera men outside a hotel and guessed correctly that LA would be staying there.

I saw Jens Voigt being interviewed, and when he´d finished I introduced myself and had a chat with him for about five minutes!

Then I saw Thor Hushovd and Stuart O´Grady, when suddenly there was a big rush to greet the Merc that pulled up with Lan the Man.

From the back I shouted a ´hello and welcome´ to him and he looked up and nodded!

As they disappeared into the hotel, I left to meet my sister and her husband.

Two hours later, we were walking through the main street and LA cycled past on his own through a big crowd, none of them aare of who he was. I casually said to my sister ´look, there´s Lance Armstrong´and he looked up at me, seemed to recognise me from earlier and nodded and smiled!

But speaking to Jens was the highlight!

(just thought I´d share that with you!:laugh:

Hope you didn't do a Murray Walker and poke his cheekbone whilst asking how it was?

Which is a great excuse to post this

...okay Dayvo, let's get this straight. If you ever see him again this is what you need to shout:

"Oi cock head, you got well beat in the Tour this year, didn't you? That Alberto chap sure kicked your arse, even when you tried to bully him. Noodley says hello by the way...."

Just a bit more cultured. !!! I used to visit Norway on a fairly regular basis in the early 90's and often stopped overnight in Oslo. It was a city that I really enjoyed, but could not afford to drink in.
