Big time gaps can open in a short time on Bola del Mundo though and he lost quite a chunk on Angliru. He also needs to be aware of crosswinds tomorrow as Hindley has a stronger team to look after him.

Yeah it's x small.margin and he could lose it all in less than 2k

As a armchair fan UAE have been by far the best team to watch....I think with the original ITT course today Almeida would of had a good chance at top step on the podium...still has a chance I guess.
But 7 stage wins and even a second place on the podium ain't too shabby.

I think.their wins have been good.... The strength in depth is a bit boring though. Interesting seeing them suffer a lot week 3 . Did they do too.much . I think visma did as well

What's Vine's deal: he can climb with the best and time trial too.
Can he just not put it together consistently, is he not cut out for leadership, or does he just like snorting the big spondulics for de luxe domestiquing with the Arabs?
He tends to crash a fair bit and chose to take the safe money bag to be a very high class lieutenant.

Race is trending towards being a bit of a farce with the amount of changes. Almeida could have clawed back decent time today in the ITT to at least open up the theoretical chance of winning GC. Anything is obviously possible, but that seems quite unlikely now.

Pray for wind....

The forecast hasn't really changed much from yesterday, maybe very slightly windier but still nothing about 18 km/h, so nothing to suggest it's worth thinking about
