The question is: should Ayuso swallow his pride and join Movistar?

Rattling by the season, more like. Same as always. One moment it’s stretched out in front of us, the next, the leaves are falling….

In the meantime, happy days, whole stage coverage tomorrow.

Kingrollo - clearly you are unaware of the forum rule that thou shalt not criticise the fishmonger in anyway, and will get your knuckles wrapped if you criticise VLB

Criticism is fine, talking bollocks will always get pulled up.

I might live in Denmark, and I might be a Jonas fanboy, but I also watch far, far more cycling than is healthy - like pretty much every stage of the last few Tours start to finish (I'm not exaggerating, I think two years ago I probably missed about five hours live in total). On the old BR forum I was literally the only person pre Tour who took his joint captaincy with Roglic in '22 seriously, and thought he was probably the better bet to beat Pogacar that year.

I really don't give a flying f*** if people like him or not, there are plenty of riders I dislike for no real reason (Gaudu, for example) but please don't embarrass yourselves by talking crap about him - just say you don't like him and its irrational and that's fine.

I wasn't actually criticizing him directly. I was more bemused by Adam Blythes pre race comment that he expected JV to be on the offensive in today's stage.

How JV races is a matter for himself. Personally I don't warm to him - But he's a top pro and a pretty successful one. As his DS said he races how he races and overly bothered about popularity stakes.

As far as I can see, your bemusement centered around the fact that Vingegaard is a wheel-sucking non-attacking rider, so any prediction that he would go on the attack was bound to be wrong. Your apparent criticism of Blythe (who was indeed wrong - Visma have said they're taking a defensive attitude early on) was "vindicated" by the fact that Vingegaard hadn't attacked yet - a mere 24km from the finish, with a Cat 2 to attack on and a wet descent pre the Cat 1 finale. Then you said he'd sucked Pog's wheel for three weeks in France. And when someone noted that he followed Ciccone's attack you continued to attack, er..., "Adam Blythe", by sarcastically posting "he doesn't do that apparently"

Yu asked me to show where you said that [he was a wheelsucker] and then ignored when I replied with the receipts.

Just wear it mate. We can all read.

Your criticism of Vingegaard wasn't indirect - it was snide. And you're welcome to criticise, but likewise, I'm also allowed to point out where you're talking balls. But don't try and hide from what you've posted. You got pulled up but can't admit it. Own what you posted, anything else belittles us all. Otherwise I refer you to the words of Jamie Vardy in September of 2011.

As you alluded to in your previous post :- you probably watch too much cycling on TV.

Take the wife and kids for a walk in the park I'm sure you'll feel much better for it.
