Relatively low stress day with no crashes ... If that was the point of the stage it worked

stage 2 bit more of a test . Significant climb should be crash free too .🤞🏾

Perfect for Roglic circa 2020 . Less so this year

Same finish as the 2002 Giro stg 5, I think.
It's on YouTube, Stefano Garzelli won the day.
If I knew how to get it onto here I would.

Its good of the vuelta to spread the word about cycling to Italy. With the tdf going there last year as well, they'll surely soon get into it.

I'm assuming there are a few mayors there that are either a soft touch or don't mind an inch thick brown envelope arriving every now and again

Denz did a weird move pulled the break hard to 2:47 then sat up .... Dropping out the break not that odd but it is after the pulling he did

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.

Maybe an injury flare up or slime* that. Oops I'm not feeling as good as I hoped.

* Autocorrect version of "something like" weird. Don't know how that happened

I thought it was the other way round with the mayors supplying the brown envelopes to bring the races?

The towns legitimately pay to host, and in such a situation an unscrupulous mayor that didn't think it was entirely worth the money might be persuaded that his town really did need a stage start rather than a new roof on the library by the sound of a weighty envelope dropping onto the table
