Vinny after the stage....can't say he doesn't deserve some praise 😁
"You're not going to let a stage win pass. So when I saw the opportunity of course I will take it also. Super happy to take the victory today. It's been a while since my last victory, obviously. But super happy with how I felt and how the team did today. Yeah, super happy with also having the red jersey

Zingle...shouldn't laugh 🤣

"I dislocated my shoulder again whilst grabbing a gel, left my bike with a guy who didn't speak English whilst I got in the ambulance to have my shoulder put back...when I came out there was no more bike "

The commentator - Hatch I think - mentioned someone buggering off with the bike but said "and the mechanics are taking his bike back to the car". So that wasn't a mechanic?

Bit of a dumb move as he's on telly.

Just watched the stage finale back. How have they managed to find a time gap between 4th and 5th? Looked absolutely continuous to my eye.

If the opportunity is there you take it, surely? It's a stage in the Vuelta, you don't give those up for little reason.
Aside from that, it's his first individual win since Volta ao Algarve in February, so there's probably a bit of wanting to assure everyone that yes, he is here to win.
He has shown in his 1on1 duels with Pogacar, that he has gotten much more punchy. I also think Pogacar has an influence on him in terms of his racing and his interviews. He comes off much more likeable and friendly (like Pogacar does) in the media and he has started to ride more aggressively (like Pogacar does). All the while without being Pogacar in either.
Pogacar on the other hand, lost some of that care free attitude at this year's Tour, but that's a story for another time.
Vingegaard was always a good guy and phenomenal athlete, I think he shows both not just the latter nowadays. I genuinely think he has put some effort into opening up in the media and showing his good nature.

Visma....😲

Last night, our mechanics’ truck was broken into and several bikes were stolen. Our mechanics are working hard to ensure that the team is fully prepared for the third stage. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
