Looking forward to it. Team Time Trial on stage 5. I like watching those. Great to see teams working well together. Ever better watching them make a complete horlicks of it. Even though they are tough on the plucky hopeful riders from weaker teams.

Btw Spoilers don't bother me in the slightest, but if we don't have a spoiler warning in the title there will be endless distracting bitching and complaining.

Agreed I love a team time trial, the more chaotic the better, ideally with Movistar attacking each other off the front of their train.

I think a thread with a race as its title doesn't actually need a spoiler warning, its farking obvious it may contain spoilers.
The 11 year old post linked by our worried member actually refers to putting something in a thread "title" (which is obviously visible from the recent posts or Forum main page) which is a spoiler for someone say wishing to watch highlights later in blissful ignorance.

This could be a very Danish affair, btw.
Aside from Vingegaard being the massive favourite, Mads P is rested up and ready to try and grab a bunch of stages. He's racing the Tour of Denmark at the mo, but other than tha Copenhagen Sprint and the nat champs (won the ITT jersey) he hasn't raced since the Giro. He wants to go to the Euros for the ITT as well, so count on him doing a decent effort on stage 5. Looking at the first week it's conceivable he could try for the maillot rojo and hold it until stage 6, then try and consolidate for the points jersey. Pretty much a Giro opening week repeat.

Thanks very much, I hadn't caught up on the Danish TT champs yet.

I'd have thought Pedersen would be disappointed with any less than 6 stages given the number suited to him and the quality of the opposition.

Something like that, but if he does what he did for the Giro where he peaked for the first week he might not have much left in the tank once the ridiculous mountains start popping up

Can we just put ***SPOILERS*** in the title and be done with it?
Or call this one Vuelta - Pre Race Chat to signify we'll do a different thread when the actual racing starts?
That's why I asked. Only the poster who started the thread can decide that and it seems they've decided for this to be non-spoiler chat, either by choice or by default.

Btw Spoilers don't bother me in the slightest, but if we don't have a spoiler warning in the title there will be endless distracting bitching and complaining.
And more importantly, it can shoot all over the enjoyment of those following along watching highlights rather than live because, for example, they're unreasonably(!) working at the critical time. The rule is not entirely useless, no matter what anyone thinks the default should be.

I think a thread with a race as its title doesn't actually need a spoiler warning, its farking obvious it may contain spoilers.
Great but 1. that's not always how threads have been here; 2. you didn't write the rules and nor did I; and 3. you're not a moderator.

The 11 year old post linked by our worried member [...]
I'm not worried, so you get an F for mind-reading.

That isn't even a thing

@TomDW please for love of whatever you hold most dear, just stick ***SPOILERS*** in the title so we can get back to actually discussing the race
There is an easier way... @Moderators!!!!

I don't think that Quest are going to cover the Vuelta this time? If so, I will reluctantly cough up for another month on TNT. Looks like I will do 1 month for the early season, plus upto 3 months for the Grand Tours.

Oh it's a TTT, I hadn't spotted that! Nice! Hopefully not on a beach though. Or at night. Or any other Vueltaish nonsense.
The Vuelta seems committed to preserving the art, though. Which is a little weird, given how badly Spain's only WT team have performed in them in the past. I usually watched them wondering which Movistar rider was going to be first to attack.
