La Vuelta - how polluted is that Spanish water?

Been watching the Vuelta and we can't believe how green the water is when viewed from above where it doesn't reflect the blue of the sky.

Has anybody else noticed this? It must be a combination of phosphates from the massive Andalucian horticultural industry and from detergents washing into the water, insufficient rain to dilute it and massive growth of algae making the water green.

I think I'll cancel that swimming trip...
