Many years ago as kids we had a pack of staffies.
Mother prepared a steaming hot jam suet pudding
As it was being upended onto a plate it fell off the table
All us kids bent down to see where it had gone under the table
Not so much as a crumb hit the floor!
One of the Staffies (we were not sure which one) must have caught it (boiling hot) mid air and downed the entire pudding in one gulp
