One of my absolute pet hates. I'm glad it cost the bloke a lot of money. He probably drove past the tip on his way to dump the stuff.

Suspect that there is something not quite right here. He drove further than his local tip, to dump rubbish with his name on it, including personal information that should have been shredded.

What did he think happened to the stuff?

It magically dissolves into fertiliser?

Plain stupid. We get them round here...just brain dead. If you leave your rubbish at the side of the street, wrong it is, but it will get collected. So what do some people do...take it twice as far, off the street, into a field and dump it in the bushes. Fcukwits, just spoil it for everyone.

We get a bit of it up here at the forest. Seems to me they put more effort loading up the car and dumping it at midnight than they would casually driving the same car to either of the two nearby local tips.

Our local tip basically took anything and builders would use it. Now they have limits on commercial waste, trailer sizes and charge quite a bit if you turn up with a transit van. OK they have to pay their way but this seems short sighted and just puts barriers in the way and encourages fly tipping.
They have also put restrictions on what I can put in my wheelie bin at home, for example I am now not allowed to put a paint pot in there and instead supposed to take it myself to the tip.
Since this came in there seems to be more stuff dumped.

Same here. Our recycling centre won't let pedestrians in on foot (elf and safety), the barrier scans your number plate so only cars registered in the catchment are allowed in. You are only allowed 16 visits per year (not sure if this is enforced) and vans/anything that looks commercial are not allowed in without paying for a commercial refuse license (not sure how much that is).
Same old story though, it must be more lucrative to charge commercial folk than to clean up after the fly tippers.
