Langdale frame in auction

For sale by auction in Nottingham, 18/2/2023, "Langdale Lightweight alloy road racing frame, carbon forks and a pair of Fulcrum Continental Grand Prix 4000S racing bicycle wheels". Not mine, before anyone accuses me!

Not heard of Langdale before. Are they meant to be especially high quality or sought after?
Anyway at the guesstimate price certainly worth a punt if only for the wheels.

Nothing special 7005 frame much like the blue ribble iirc?!

They're a Nottingham bike shop, so bought in and decalled

Some of their bikes are decent; son no. 2 has a Langdale carbon track bike that was built for a staff member to race the track nationals.

No longer a Nottingham bike shop, unfortunately; folded late last year, and sadly missed. Very racing oriented, so I didn't buy much from them, but they were always helpful when I did.
I wondered whether this was testing the water for selling excess stock via auction, but I think it was probably a private seller, who will be disappointed at the low price realised.

@Poacher I didn't know that and it's a pity. My first bike was from there when I was 10 - when we bought son no. 2's track bike I checked that it was genuine with them and they still had both receipts.
