Laser Bike Lane Survey

Is the laser trace on the road fixed, or does it vary with the speed of passing vehicles?
I would like a wider separation when a big lorry is passing me at 60mph than I would tolerate for a small car passing at 15mph.

If the laser is powerful enough to burn the paint off the car at the very least it might work

I quite liked the idea when I first saw these, then having given it an extra nano second of thought I realised that it was garbage, firstly because most drivers wouldn't see it (have a TMN all those that came before) and also because if it was seen it would quite likely suggest that that was how much space I'd like to be given, basically bugger all (have half a TMN @snorri)
