Sounds like those "Pinch points" need to be changed to "Punch points"!
We're in Britain old chap. Colonial rounders rules do not apply.
Who you calling Colonial?Who you calling old :P
I don't believe in hitting cars, because although it's not wrong, it gets many drivers very upset indeed. See some of the comments on this video:
At the time I was trying to breakfall/fend off the bonnet, rather than punish the driver.
I think the use of Violence is overkill here.I don't understand the need to resort to violence. Surely it's only going to exacerbate an already tense situation?
I kinda pictured a beefed up forrest gump there lolIn my youth I was bombing down the bus lane on Whitechapel Road and a white Golf Cabriolet swung left right across me. I 'fended him off' with my right foot and we both came to a stop.
I was not given to backing down at that age, but the driver got out with a (car) tyre lever in his hand and was about six-foot-a-million tall and built like a pro-boxer. I made the correct decision and decided not to enter into constructive dialogue with him.
But... I was in top on the big ring. It was not funny at the time, but with hindsight it has great comedy value. I was grinding away in top as he sprinted behind me saying bad words and swinging the tyre lever at my bonce.
I don't think I calmed down until I got to Bloomsbury and changed my route for the next few weeks. I really am that hard....
I didn't get a look at the side of the car, but I suspect I made a dent. I am very happy not to have a similar dent in my skull.
Been there done that, doesn't help from my experiences.
