Last Friday was my 500th commute

After 2 and a half yeas, I reached my 500th journey to work by bike.
An average of 34 per day, so around 17,000 miles.

Its been superb, I wished I had done it many many years ago. So heres to the next 500 journeys !

I've been thinking of doing the commute to work - 14 miles each way - but on a test run it took me an hour and ten. Out of interest, do you do it much quicker now than when you started?

Well done - I'm still in my 50's but getting 3-4 done each week.

I've worked out I save £10 a day in petrol/parking - so if yours is similar that's £5k saved. Well worth a new bike

when I first started it was 1 hr 20, now its about an hour, depending on the weather, but I was just under 18 stone when I started, which didn't help !

Well done lad, keep it up, you've got a bit to go to catch up with me, came back to cycling in 1978 and have been commuting continually since, I've lost track of the number of journeys and miles.

I've just completed my 2nd days commuting to work and back so only 33 miles so far but I hope to still be doing it to get to my 500th commute!
