Even if you don't leave it to Christmas eve, make sure you pop into Boots at 4:30 pm and watch all the blokes scratching each other's eyes out and hitting each other with their man bags at the perfume counter to get served first.

I leave mine till Christmas morning. Nothing you can't buy in the all night shop / offie these days.

Best last minute shopping I've ever seen.

WHSmiths. 5:00pm Christmas Eve. Shop closing. I was standing chatting to the manager when this couple came up, rather flustered. "Do you sell cooker wire?".

Raw turkey for them, I think.

Thank god for 24 hour petrol stations with mini-marts, that's what I say at Christmas.
