lawnmowers - rotary versus hover...

Well that's probably not far from the truth.

Now my new neighbours and their gardens (both front and rear). The previous neighbours used to keep their gardens really nice. Lawn mowed, flower beds hoed and kept clear of weeds. The Apple tree trimed.
But the new neighbours, nice people though they are. Have yet to do anything in the garden (s), and they have been there now for 6 months. Weeds are getting long and seeding.

Well I'm definitely not your neighbour then ... moved in Feb, and I have scarified, lawn sand, seeded more than once (thanks to the birds thinking I was feeding them), mowed the lawn now several times and it is looking so much better than the solid moss that was there before. However the house doesn't look that much different - I think I ought to put in a bit more effort there.

Mr Summerdays does the mowing and he prefers the clinder one to the hoover one.
