Just nipped in for a new tube and almost came out with a Tri-cross
All those shiney looking new bikes are a danger to the credit card,and found out they do trade-ins so think the hybrid will be going soon

I do already have two Giant Coldrocks and I could send one up rather you having to search around for a 20 year old MTB.

Congrats, sir, on lovely purchase and a great companion bike to the Secteur. I was out on the Tricross on Thursday and took the Secteur today, for two such similar-looking bikes (the wife can't tell the them apart ) they really do feel remarkably different.

Unfortunately, with the ones in my garage at least, the bikes are great but they share a clonker of a powerplant.

Edited to add: Oops... I've just seen that you "almost" came out with the Tricross. Do it, they are great.

Unfortunately I only have room for 2 bikes,and even that is pushing it with the oh.
Got the Secteur for the dry,now want something better than the Trek for wet/winter days.Really like the drop bars so the idea of a Sirrus/Trek 7.5FX is on a back-burner now in favour of the Tri-cross.
Trouble is I then wouldn't have a 'hack' bike to use for shopping/being locked up outside places,oh balls I think I better hide the credit card til I come up with a plan(I'm a git for impulse buying)

I actually did that a few years ago. I went in for an inner tube and came out with a Dawes Giro 300, its sat in the back of the through lounge behind me at the moment ready for tomorrows ride. It was reduced from £400 to £315, couldn't resist the bargain.

I was pulled out of the LBS by my financial advisor this morning for the same thing. She came in looking for me and found me sitting on a nice new shiny Specialized Roubaix Elite. I think it was the grin that gave the game away. Needless to say I followed the 'Get off and step away from the bike' command to be escorted back to the car and had my CC taken off me.

One day I am going to drop myself so far in the sh1t I never surface.

No, you just haven't yet cleared out the spare room / put up the shed for storing the other bikes.

The Tricross makes a good all-rounder, IMO. It's always the only drop-barred bike in town when I do take it but a rack and mudguards (mine has neither currently but can take both) would help it to blend.
