Just fitted a new ceramic cassette to a leaky kitchen mixer tap as above, but it’s still leaking.
Wet sanded the brass body of the tap where the cassette mates to remove limescale and thought I had a good seal. Should I be using silicone grease as well?
Looking forward to the hive mind helping fix this. Cheers

Other than they need a really good seal. I tried to clean up the ceramic discs in two bathroom taps - didn't work for long, so bought new and new seals.

If the taps are a cheaper brand than sometimes it is difficult to get good seal.

I would change the Tap/s its easier in the long run.
