My colleague was in a huff about the extra day 'what is the point? it's just stupid', I then tried to explain about the orbit on the Earth etc... but she looked at me with such a blank expression, so I tried again as though I was talking to a very young child... I think it went in
It is a daft name though. Surely it's the other years that leap a day. This is actually drag year.
