Seriously, Mr G is in Val D'Isere at the moment (I'm joining at the weekend) and they've closed the mountain completely a couple of times over the last week. He had to dig himself out of the house and there are 2m drifts by the street. The top of the valley was cut off for nearly 3 days and people weren't even allowed to leave the house due to avalanche risk up there. So... lots of snow, but just to look at (or shovel)!
Apparently it was Solaise on the Val d'Isere side yesterday morning, not Tignes!Yeah, my buddies really are there and the pistes are closed but I don’t think the winds were quite that strong - happy to be corrected obvs - they said 80mph.
