Watch out....leaves on the road....

Bugger, too late........fell off...........

Filtered to the ASL on the outside of the traffic - wide road..... flipped into the ASL and as I flipped the bars to straighten up.......bump, bang 'barsteward *#*#*#* !!

Wet leaves hiding a pot hole - front slid down it and threw me off....right in front of a line of cars.......

Jumped up quick, dusted off and waited for the lights to change....:girl:

Scuffed elbow - exactly the same spot I scuffed up last month with my 'clipless moment' !!!

Felt like a right clown............:B)

Ouch! Glad you came out relatively unscathed, Fossy.
Autumn's also known as The Fall for a good reason! :girl::angel:

Ow - bad luck, Fossy. Hope the elbow recovers quickly.

I've been taking it easy where I see leaves on the road, especially after an American friend of mine totalled his car / punctured a lung / broke a collarbone and some ribs after his car slid on some wet leaves. He wasn't even going that fast - he was just unfortunate in that he spun into a tree and the impact was on the driver's door.

have to ride through a couple of parks on my commute. Obviously this time of year the paths are full of leaves.. so the old speed drops and the awareness picks up

Coming home in the dark yesterday I was approaching some 'pinch points'
The constant traffic and the strong winds had made an 'acorn island' at the side of the road.
I ploughed through it - as I had already hit it and there was no time to do anything about it.
How I stayed on the bike I'll never know?
The bike squirmed all over the place, I'd hit it at about 22mph.
Seemed like an eternity till the bike found the tarmac again.
I let out a huge "Bawahahaha!!!!" in celebration.

I practice front wheel lockups to see what happens, usually, it locks up, you fall off.

I was so paranoid on Monday night,it was dark wet and there were leaves all over the place so I was tending to brake when every car from the other side of the road wanted to cross in front of me.I didn't want to have to do a heavy front brake application.Looks like I wasn't trusting my HV or lights.

The leaves/wet manhole cover is a particularly exciting combo, and a very popular one on my commute at the mo'.

Hackers - you're SWT right? I thought railtrack had pretty much deforested the south of England in an Amazon stylee to avoid the leaves-on-the-line? Mind you, we're still getting the nice computer man announcing the Special Autumn Timetable. Even he sounds a little unconvinced by what he's saying.

Yeah what that means is we can run around a bit slower as we have to brake earlier for stations.

I found the Salisbury line a bit slippy tonight but it's been worse. Was running late as I didn't know how slippy it would be.Also one of the trains hit a deer on the way back so I had to look for it.It was between the tracks brown bread.

Those bloody leaves i've watched them from the back cab. When a train passes they all fly up in the air and back down again. Some land on the rail.

don't get me started on ornamental cherry blossom though, bloody thing all down our road, especially at the point when I brake hard off the hill to make a sharl left into my road

Down Salisbury it was raining tonight so I must admit I was a bit worried.

They take a dim view if you skate through a station.
