Leaving a car overnight in York

I need to leave my car in York from Friday afternoon until early evening on Saturday.

Central area preferred, so I have looked at the York City Council parking web pages which indicate a couple of car parks should be suitable.

Both are listed as open 24 hours and having CCTV.

My question is will the car likely be still there/in one piece when I return to it?

What I want to avoid is leaving the car in a place anyone with a smidgin of local knowledge would not do.

Any local intelligence appreciated.

No guarantees, of course, but the Nunnery Lane car park should be OK - and is near the station. Or there's one in Tanner Row that's multi-storey if you prefer (but pricey).

If you don't mind walking (or cycling) a little to get into town, I can suggest some residential streets where your car will be effectively invisible among the locals' cars

Thanks for the reassuring replies.

Parking the car on Maggot's drive sounds a good idea, so I will be in touch with him about that.

You can't beat watching a group of, 'ladies,' on a hen night, as long as you keep a very safe distance.

Thanks.

I think I will aim for the castle or Nunnery Lane mentioned earlier.

My choice will probably depend on which one I find first - my geographical grasp of the centre of York is less than firm.
