What's the world coming to?

I was walking to work when a truck turned left into a street with pedestrians still crossing and mounted the pavement nearly taking me out in the process but for a hair's breadth!

WTF?

It's a narrow street off Cornhill and had two cyclists coming down the cycle lane that had to mount the pavement to avoid the flatbed that clearly wasn't stopping.

Sounds like it was all going on in the City yesterday, I was on a Boris bike waiting at traffic lights to turn on to Bishopsgate when someone crashed in to me from behind! Turned out to be a pedal cycle courier who apologised profusely as he looked up at me from the tarmac, needless to say the heavy Boris bike hardly even moved!

I go the opposite way to this towards Cannon Street but I've had a few funny ones.A colleague who also uses this said a lorry driver had a go at him for cycling up a one way street which is ballcocks because there are cyclist only signs on the no entry signs.

There's a street like that off St Mary Axe, it's one way but for the cycle lane which is constantly parked over...meaning you have cyclists going the middle of he road down a "one way street". Mayhem!

So they built a Boris bike stop halfway up it.

Similar thing happened to me awhile ago, i was walking down a fairly narrow pavement when a van suddenly pulled across to park. Luckily i noticed it coming and was able to stop, if i had carried on walking i would most likely have been squashed between the wall and the van. Then he decided to start reversing and i had to quickly jump backwards to avoid it. I had to walk in the road to eventually get around it when the driver had a go at for me being in the way when he was trying to park. It was even double yellows on that road
