Late morning on weekdays for fitness workouts - the advantage of being a self-employed author - and 6.30 ish on Sundays for the leisure spin. (Though not today - had fun cycling around Ipswich and the surrounding area delivering Christmas cards.)

I know where my towel is
During the week going to work I leave home at 06:00, and leave for the return at 18:00.
The morning ride is better than the evening ride.
I get to work for 08:00 and miss the people making a mad dash for 09:00 starts.

At the weekends I prefer to go earlier in the mornings, but it normally ends up being whatever time I can be bothered to get out of bed and out of the house (and how my legs feel following the commuting week).

I only live 4 miles from work (so the additional 16miles are really leisure miles) but mixing with impatient drivers late for work is not my idea of leisure, so I like the early starts and going for the 20 miles instead, much nicer, plus there is a nice hot shower waiting for me at the other end, so may as well take advantage.

If I am at work, then as soon as I get home at 6PM I go out for an hour.
If I am not at work, then as soon as I get up, which is about 10am (), for about an hour and a half.

However, if it's raining I will wait until it stops. If it's windy I alter my route.
