I am cycling the LEJOG on 10th Aug over 7 days. Looking at around 140 miles per day. I have just completed a double unsupported solo CTC over 2 days and averaged around 16mph fairly comfortably. Although I enjoyed the CTC, it would have been better with company. Does anyone fancy joining me for the LEJOG? Andy.

Not at that pace! I have been contemplating it as foreign lands appear to be out of the question this year; but I am looking at 50-70 miles per day and average speed somewhere around 12 mph.

The very end of July, probably looking at about 10 days - although we're going to try and visit Cape Wrath on the way

Good stuff. Chanonry Point on the East coast of Scotland is supposed to be worth a look too. Apparently there are supposed to be lots of dolphins in the area.

Thanks for the tip - I suspect I'll head West before there, though, especially as ploughing up to Cape Wrath. Apparently the "Cape Wrath Challenge" is to be smiling when you take a photo of yourself at the lighthouse to prove you made it....
