The video might get a bigger and more appreciative audience in the commuting forum.

Anyone got any information on the condition of the person hit? Hope they are OK despite appearances. I agree, we don't yet know what the courts will do, although I do suspect that her defence will be "creative". Something along the lines of "My client was being followed by 2 men in a car and was in fear of her life your honour". One can only hope that anything like this is treated with the contempt it deserves. I wonder why the following vehicle had a camera in? Are they becoming common in cars as well or is it some kind of insurance led black box arrangement? Does anyone know?

This does look rather like a viral marketing tool to me...

I suspect its real but is being rather cynically used by the company to promote their wares. If it was staged they've just uploaded footage of themselves engaged in dangerous driving (overtaking cars with oncoming traffic etc.)

Its the lasted fad. Road Angels - righting the wrongs of errant motorists through self righteous observations, pontifications, the adoption of hangings and floggings as sentencing tariffs for minor traffic violations and the universal acceptance of the Highway Code as being the inviolable word of God.

This clip is all over other forums.
One link takes you to piston heads and the thread runs for a stupid amount of time. At one point a post makes reference to comparing elements to that 'excitable' cyclist (from Bristol?) that featured so heavily in a thread here!
There is a theory that the whole thing is rigged...

The 'dialogue' gave me the impression that it was scripted.

Who else would make the decision to follow a motorist to see if (s)he did something stupid?

I still think that the commuting forum would 'get more' from the video.

Possibly the same reason cyclists where helmet cams?

About a year back I would get the odd email off a driver or motor cyclist asking about my kit and some advice on recording - so I kind of get the feeling they have the same concerns as cyclists. Its less vocal a group though, I gather.

There was a regular driver I would speak to on YT. He deleted his whole account in the end, seemed to be targetted by the "petrolhead fraternity" for want of a better word. Not the cool ones, the miscreant a***hole ones.

Got no sound (family watching telly). First vid looks bad if real. If it went to court and she was sentenced there'd be some news records that would verify it.

The video says she has been arrested and due to appear in court... that's not really leniency for bad drivers. Shocking behaviour though.

Leniency for bad drivers would be something along the lines of The Met not bothering to follow up a violent road rage assault caught on camera with multiple witnesses.

Just missed this. Saw your comment on YT replying to Svengalie. I'm a bit shocked by him tbh, he's usually cooler than that.

Whole thing looks like it was setup. Either they are the police are they not. Frequent messages saying police audio restricted yet there appears to be a ll made by the driver of the following car for the police, once the car has stopped.

Also at approx 3:14, person appears to move forward as though being pulled, prior to being hit. As oppossed to stepping out into the road.

If thats the case a sick way of advertising your wares.

Well, it has been reported in the news

But only in The Times so

1. I'm not paying to subscribe especially not to Murdoch and

2. It's a Murdoch rag so doesn't qualify as a reliable news source
