I liked the sax sound on some of the earlier Garry Glitter records, partly because as an 11/12-year-old it was the first time I'd heard the instrument.

Boots Randolph is a great sax player, played on a lot of Elvis records, he also did Yakety Sax, the Benny Hill music.

Ah. Um. Not to wee on the bonfire, but I found LP almost unwatchable. Fine, fine player, as heard the night before when it was on BBC R3, but that absurd costume and look-at-me clowning really irritated me. I love Mingus and the Prom was otherwise terrific, but I wouldn't watch it again just because of him.

Actually, my younger son said the same thing. Loved him for about the first half, and then found him a bit irritating!
