Catastrophic chain snap. Chain tool I've carried around for years just in case turns out to be knackered.

At least I'm now having a walk in the sun!

On the towpath? Pop the saddle down and "hobby horse" it, it's more efficient than you might expect. Watch the pedals tho'.

About 4 miles - not too bad. Just hopped on for a short bit of down hill when I came off the towpath - got 16 mph, bonus!

Think a cold beer awaits me when I get home.
