Hey! I never implied that Prakticas were bad (my dad had one back in the 80s), just that they were inexpensive.

Ah, well that's OK then
I used to take my Practika to camera club (OK, It was a photography course but we all turned up year in year out to use the developing equipement) and was positively shunned by a small minority of the lot there. Bloody snobs. Interestingly, when I got a new Canon, those same people wanted to be all friendly, but they only had Nikons and I didn't want to lower my standards

Ha ha! This happened to me once, though in my case it was a phone. Bought from an out of town shopping place that I'd visited with a friend and didn't have a way to get back to easily. Shop were a bit arkward about getting the phone to me, buggers!

Same here , although I looked in as soon as I got in the car , marched straight back in and they gave me a new un opened box straight away.
