Why? I never did due to my hearing and I have turned out ok (I think). Really, I have never understood why it has to be some sort of social obligation, like Football etc. Are people's lives really so empty, seriously?

I for the record have started listening to things now I have i - tunes, but I most certainly do not see it as being a necessity. Oh and I barely know or care who The Who are never mind this Mr Beiber chap.

I seem to have 'missed' it all out, and if you think I have somehow been deprived then that's your problem, not mine.

That is all.

Lummy! It wasn't a judgement statement . I also think wine, homebrew, The Isle of Purbeck in Dorset and The Simpsons are all fine things, but none are obligatory.

For me music is the very essence of life (my life at least), but if everyone on earth shared my tastes and opinions we'd be in a whole mess of trouble.

I think I have a basic understanding of how religious / cultural differences can influence the decision as to whether to allow a 16 year old girl attend a gig, but my opinion is that these should be put to one side in favour of allowing the girl to develop and mature in the society in which she lives.

I can understand it too, Justin Beiber is clearly the work of the Devil!

Serious answer: depends how you and your wife feel about the culture/religion thing, and whether or not you feel it's appropriate for her to go to what is basically a load of girls at the height of hormonal surge/imbalance (etc) swooning over someone they want to shag. Personally I wouldn't mind my daughters going at 16, if they wanted to, as it's a normal part of development (my sister used to similarly swoon over the Osmonds and David Cassidy when she was a teenager, and I used to salivate over pictures and thoughts of Debby Harry).

Silly answer: let her go to any concert, but please, not Justin Bieber.

Ooooh, not sure about this parents going in to gigs with their kids, or maybe that's just that I've never wanted to go in. They all like heavy metal type stuff xx(

Eldest started at 13/14(all boys) and the first 4 or 5 I ferried him and friends to venue and then ate/read while waiting to ferry them home. By 15 he was going to London gigs by train and I was sitting up late, worrying and waiting and fetching them from train stations at ungodly hours. He'll be 17 at the end of August and isn't long back from his first trip to Download. Most shocking thing about that is the sheer bloody price and just how bad they smelled when I collected them at the station - had to air the car out afterwards.

He may have started a little earlier due to having an end of August birthday, he's only 3 days from being in the year below.
