Just had 2 of these for lunch, luvverly they are!!!! Available from a Tesco branch near you....

Just about the closest thing I can find in any shops north of the border that come anywhere close to genuine Jamaican beef patties (sic). I lived in Jamaica for 7 years in my youth and patties are one of the many things I miss. I have found them being sold in areas of London, but that's a bit far to travel for me.

I hope they appeal to the Scots taste, or they will just disappear along with anything else that can't be deep fried .

I love patties me, down here in Bristol, lots of shops sell them, even tesco ..... Gasp!

You're a naughty man, Brandane, you just reminded me I haven't had my breakfast yet!

I have a losing relationship with Tescos - every time I find they're stocking things that I really like - the kind of things that are worth making a detour for - they stop selling them. Even their leaf tea - which is pretty reasonable - is getting hard to find. I hope you don't share the same Tescos affliction.
