Hi chimps,

Popped into Lidl yesterday and they had:

The nice tool kit for £25. Price is up but still great value.

Two seat bags. The best was £5.99 and included a puncture kit, allan key set, tyre levers and a chain tool.

They had a few other bits and bobs, like a cycle lock, but the tool kit and bags were the best items.

I don't know when the stuff came out. I didn't know it was coming, I just happed to go in.

The £5.99 saddle bag is pretty good, I only wish it had a strap to make attaching a light easier. The tyre levers and spanners it comes with are a bit of a joke but the multi-tool is pretty decent, I've used mine and it's fine.

Lidl shoes

I just popped into my local Lidl looking for those shoe and found some great clumpy offroad type trainers. I was hoping to find some road shoes - have they ever stocked anthing similar?

The toolkits were £28, I have most size spanners/allen keys so it's only specialist cycle stuff I 'need' & I'll get those seperately.

The cycle stuff went into the shops on Thursday the 9th, I got the toolkit as its handy having it all in one place and even though I have spanners/alen keys etc the two 'shimano hub' tools, chain rivet tool and crank tool will cost close to the £25 I paid, and you get the rest free!
