Had problems with presta valve on the pump as well.
Rear tyre no bother.
Put it on the front and had a huge fight to get it off again, which it won by my splitting the tube ;) in the process. Actually it deserves another
Used it to pump up the new tube with it pushed onto the valve slightly less.
Pump is only rated to 100psi in instructions - plenty for my use though.

my local one still had most of the stuff (and plenty of most, too) there was 2 track pumps, i got the cheaper one, 3 cycle computers, the ones mentioned and a basic one for 2.99 (i got that) quite a few tops, trousers and rain jackets (i got 2 tops, seem good quality) the cool bags, saddle bag/backpacks, saddle mini tool kit, some gloves (got 2 pairs) and only a few socks, and none in my size...grrrr, oh yeah, and they had the panniers and locks too..

glad i went, does anyone know how these tops wash up???- i may go and get another couple if theyre good.

The Shirts from last time are good - they come in a Square Box about 18cm x 18cm - I paid double for a "cheap" one from Decathlon but the Lidl one is much better.
Same with the jacket - £19.99 from Decathlon but the £6.99 or £7.99 Jacket from Lidl is better.

i couldnt get to my lidl until 6.30 and everything had gone! the bloke in the shop said as soon as they opened the cyclists descended like vultures! so if you were one of the crowd who depleted the holderness rd (hull) branch, have you got a spare pair of mens cycling trousers in medium!!

Ha Ha! I got there first!

Actually only bought a couple of jerseys (XL) and pump. Was in that branch bit before 10:00 on Thursday, got what I wanted just before a bunch of sharp elbowed pensioners suddenly appeared and started rifling through the stock. Maybe they were a bit late as they had been cycling from getting their pensions at the Post Office?

Did you try the shop on corner of Beverley Road / Cottingham Road? Might be too late now anyway.

Booo @ all the ppl who butchered the stock levels in the Clapham Junction branch prior to this morning... only leaving random non-matching gloves and jackets that were too small

Only thing I got was a mini tool-kit thing that hangs under the saddle (pretty lame but I didn't want to come home empty handed ;-) ).
