Don't know if it's been on before, but got to be worth a look.

I'll give it a go - the trailer looks good. Harvey Keitel is in it as Gene.

I tried watching it, but I found it a bit too cheesy for my liking. Colm Meany just doesn't cut it as Gene Hunt either.

I wont spoil it but the ending was 'quite' different to the uk one

I saw him playing a terrorist in something-or-other a few years back and I kept expecting him to talk about plasma relays and transphasic compensators...

Aren't the Americans terribly insular? Just think of all the Yank cop series we've watched (and enjoyed) over the years but they won't take a Brit one, insisting instead on producing their own version.

You have to wonder what some of these are like, I suspect not too good as you don't see many over here.

I obviously didn't get past the pilot episode then!
In that episode I recall seeing the safety wire attached to the actors when they were standing on top of the building towards the end of the episode. That didn't help my prejudice either!
