I don't have any stats from before I started using Strava, in 2020. I was doing a fair amount of cycling as a teenager in the 1970's, then quite a bit, mainly commuting in the late 80's/early 90's, before doing hardly any from mid 90's to 2020. Started again when we were allowed out for exercise during COVID.

But since mid-2020
Activities1,228
Distance19,332.3 mi
Elev Gain1,221,075 ft
Time1,297h 37m

Best Efforts
Longest Ride68.3 mi
Biggest Climb1,485 ft
Elevation Gain3,780 ft
5 mile13:26
10K17:07
10 mile29:46
20K37:18
30K56:38

80K3:06:14
50 mile3:07:16

None of these have been competitive, I haven't entered any Time Trials or similar.

Only started recording and logging my rides when I joined up to Strava in 2012 (Although I’d been riding my bikes since 2009) mainly MTB with commutes to and from work. I started riding road in earnest around 2013 and realised I was ok at it. Did my first open TT ( a 25 on my roadbike with clip-ons) in 2016 and went round in 56:51, coming 5th overall so was persuaded to start TT’ing properly so I sold my mtb in 2017 and obtained a second hand TT bike to start racing with. Not sure how many races I’ve entered but my overall stats and best times/distances are :
All-Time
Activities5,896
Distance131,351.9 mi
Elev Gain5,874,811 ft
Time7,058h 9m

TT PB’s
10 mile : 19:27
25 mile : 50:38
50mile : 1:47:40
100mile: 3:30:56
12hr : 311.56 miles

Last Road bike TT
10miles - 26:22 (May 26) - 50 years and 4 months (A gap of only a year, I took 2025 off)

I kinda wish I'd got into TTs when I was younger and pre chemo, which has induced neuropathy (hence the numb hands);

Some good times above.

I kinda wish I'd got into TTs when I was younger
I was 17 when I rode my first TT and was hooked, just a few years missed and my last TT was when I was 76 yrs.

Dogtrousers

Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
I've just realised that I have done a couple of TTs after a fashion. A few years back I and a couple of other pathetic old specimens entered a couple of triathlons as a team, with me doing the bike leg. That kind of counts as a sort of TT doesn't it? I've just looked up my times. 1hr 28 for 40km and 40 min for 20km.

It was a pretty humbling experience as people whizzed past me like I was riding through glue, and they'd already done the swimming bit. But it was a fun day out and I got a T shirt out of it.
