I've got one, picked up at a similar price. I've never had another to compare it to but it does the job for me. Only thing about other models, they contain an integrated tool tray, that'd be usefull. The clamp on the EBC model looks more adjustable too.

Do you know if it is possible to clamp carbon frames with weird shaped tube (I mean non circular)? Should I buy a cheap alloy seatpost and use it?

There is one from Ribbles as well at a similar price, and with similarly good reviews (can't get to the ribbles site at the moment).

I never clamped my carbon frame and to tell the truth I wouldn't recommend it.

I've got a display stand which holds it at the right height for me but to tell the truth, I don't tinker much with the carbon frame other than to clean it

swap the seatpost for a metal one, then clamp away to your hearts content

I keep a cheap seat post in my toolbox and swap it in for the carbon one..

I never clamp the frame. always the seat post

Like HLAB, I bought that stand last time it was on offer. For that price I'd happily recommend it, it's revolutionised my bike maintenance.
