Lights for a quid

I've got two....one is in pieces as it bounced off its mount crossing the tram lines in Mcr centre

Any one else noticed how when a light does part company with it's mounting it invariably is run over by a large lorry or similar. They never land on the verge to be retrieved undamaged.

Interesting topic, I buy my LED lights from Wilkinsons, around £3-4 pound a set, the current set I am using are on their third winter. Good bright light and reasonably strong brackets. If any of you have a branch of 'Home Bargains' near you, I got a pack of 12 duracell triple A for three quid at the weekend, should last for the winter and beyond if I hide them away, they have a nasty habit of disappearing into other peoples digital cameras etc!

My local Dyas sells Duracell AAA in a 4-pack for £3.49. Or, 2 metres away on another stand, 8, plus 8 free, for £4.99. £3.49 for 4 v £4.99 for 16. I bet there are still people who buy the 4-packs...

I thought they went bust a few years ago?


I bought about x10 Smart Polaris 3 LED lights last year when CRC were offering them at £1.99 and x4 Smart Polaris 7 LED lights which were £3.99 each.
