My bike has gone in for its first service at halfords which would have been done whilst I waited but the chap asked if it had any faults I'd noticed and it's been making a squeaking noise from around the bottom bracket the last couple of days so I've had to me leave it with them so they can strip it and have a look see what the problem is.wont be ready till Thursday so now I wait like an expectant father knowing the damage is done and there's nothing I can do now not even hold her hand grips and reassure her haha

Halfords?

Hopefully it's not one of those bodged operations you hear about.

I know halfords get a bad rap but the bike was on the cycle to work scheme and the company only use halfords so had no choice but that said the lads there were really helpful when we was ordering so thus far my experience has been ok...However if my baby I mean my bike comes out and isn't as perfect as when she went in ( excluding squeak ) then someone's getting a track pump put where the sun don't shine haha

If you're paying for the service, then you can take it to any bike shop, Even if it was a free service, I still wouldn't take it to Halfords, based on the vast numbers of badly assembled Halfords bikes I get to see at Dr Bike sessions.

Although hopefully your bike will survive the procedure.
