I've had a couple of LinkedIn "invitations" to connect recently from US people who claim to be wanting to help companies move into the UK market. These are "people" with whom I'm only 3rd level connected (which seems to cover about 50% of the population of the US for me) and the opportunities they are offering seem to be fairly unconnected with my past experience.

As a bit more background, the most recent one is someone whose profile says that they left Uni in 2005, took 5 years to get to the position of marketing manager with one of the biggest global manufacturers and then left to set up his own agency 2 years ago.
