View attachment 467359 I’ve never heard them called lions teeth either, there are lots here too but most look like this now. I had loads in the garden but we now have some chickens, they love eating dandelion flowers

The root of the word is literally "lion's teeth" dendre (tooth) lion (guess what?) After the shape of the leaf.

In France and Spain they are also called "the pisses" for obvious reasons.
