 For halloween I lit up a plastic skull.. but then had no way of mounting it.

I feel like a ninja compared to that Gaz My basic lights are a Mars 4.0 and cateye TL 600 on the back and a Smart Bspoke 1/2 watt and Cateye EL 510 on the front. I ocaissionaly use a Smart 1/2 watt, the tesco cree (or whatever its called and a Cateye EL 410. I took a couple of snaps on the phone no flash but the quality is not good.

I'm holding off on the christmas lights until the 13th of December (I don't believe in doing anything remotely christmassy until the 12 days of christmas, whatever they actually are), but am definitely planning on getting some fairy lights on the bike for then!

Anyone know where one can get a battery-powered set of christmas lights that'll be long enough to wrap round most of a bike?

The Twelve Days of Christmas start on Christmas Day and finish on 5th January (when most people take down their decorations)

We take ours down on New Year's Day. I always knew I wasn't 'most people'...

I heard this too.

I personally disregard it ;)

I may be tempted to get my lights and large helmet-covering flashing santahat sooner, BUT no sooner than the 1st of December!

It should be illegal to have anything christmassy visible before the 1st of December. And when I take power it will be.

You have been warned!

Advent starts on 28th November for 2010. Still, its 2 days to go before anyone displaying anything christmassy is safe from being roundly chastised. Or shot, depending on my mood.

Got mine from Poundland last year. Quite good with variable flashing patterns, i liked the lights chasing around the bike one best. Only slight problem was the red tinsel attached to them left red marks on the frame.

Hmm...rewiring a set of Xmas lights in parallel instead of series,, fitting 12v bulbs and powering from a 12v battery

It's doable...cheap..but more bother than it's worth

Might get Marley to do it on Christmas morning
