Performance wise the FSA cranks look a bit iffy. Are they the old fashioned internal BB type?

Yes it is the internal bottom bracket type. I have been looking at the Sora Triple Crainset but will require a new bottom bracket.

Is it worth just waiting until the FSA crank wears out and then purchase a new one

Sorry I'm new to this forum and you treat me like that thanks!
He wasn't treating you like anything, Stuwie, as you'd realise if you had a little think about my "thanks" comment as your post wasn't amended at all.

There was another one there which got edited and then removed.

There you go Stuwie, hope that's made things clearer!

What Crank / BB would you recommend?

Thanks guys

I was a little unsure what was going on

Depends on whether you want top stay with the triple - if so I'd go Shimano either Tiagra or 105

See Here.

I'd also go Shimano for the BB - there are ceramic versions like Hope but these just tend to be supposedly harder wearing rather than performance enhancing.

By the way, what are you trying to achieve with the upgrades? If it is to save weight it's a lot cheaper and easier to lose it of yourself!

OT I remember somebody telling me the same when I was 9st7 (Im 5foot 9 btw); OK I was a few lbs lighter previously but that was after a bout of Pancreatitis and that certainly wasn't a lot easier and not as fun a new parts
