OT I remember somebody telling me the same when I was 9st7 (Im 5foot 9 btw); OK I was a few lbs lighter previously but that was after a bout of Pancreatitis and that certainly wasn't a lot easier and not as fun a new parts
Slight difference between nearly under weight and losing a few lbs and carrying a bit of padding and loosing half a stone. I'm much better at climbing since getting down to 10 stone than I was at 10st 10 lbs and I'm only an inch taller than you.

Plus you had been ill, hardly going to feel great on the bike afterwards I'm not sure I advocated getting a virus!

But new parts are fun and exciting I agree.

A carbon seatpost! CAAD's are stiff and harsh, try a carbon seatpost for comfort!

Also, in my experience the supplied handlebars branded Cannondale are absolutelly shite (I flex them when out of the saddle and I'm an upper body weakling) so that would be a good place to invest.

Otherwise, your not going to get much noticable perfomance increases by swapping out random components unless you either buy expensive wheels or upgrade the whole groupset to 105 or above (or SRAM or Campag equivalents).

Get your possition on the bike rights, work on upgrading your legs and bike handling and the performance will come.

If you are upgrading for bling (which is my main motivation, lol) however, knock yourself out!
