On my commute this morning on route for a PB. Ends along a cycle path was riding a little later today caught kids going to school.

Anyway comming round curve onto straight huge group of the scumbags blocking the path about 200m in front. they could see me comming shouted excuse me , didn t move locked everthing up off I came.

They found this very amusing I obviously didn t proceded to lose my rag and I lost it big time. They thought twice about it and decided to leg it.

I shouldn t have acted as I did but when you ve just knocked out 40 miles in the p---ing rain, and that happens think I was entitled to a bit of ranting dont you!

Next time, brake smoothly and come to a controlled stop.
Then kill them all.

Maybe you weren't aware just how much adrenalin your body had produced at this moment. On reflection you might really have thought a less confrontational approach might have avoided you becoming unseated.

Always cycle cautiously around animals and children especially school children. Slowing down, a polite tink of a bell and thank you works wonders.

You had to be there really. Their actions were deliberate, and they weren t little kids slowed at first then they seperated for space then 2 of the smart alecs thought they d play chicken with me.

You trusted a group of kids to just stay apart for you and that none of them would try and play chicken?

I'd stop riding on shared paths if I were you....

How you choose to react to them playing chicken is up to you. But if you decided that it was safe to skim through a gap between them, and didn't think that they might move at the last minute, I'm just suggesting you need to amend your riding style a bit.

How fast where you going? That little old lady might be equally worried about cyclists bombing past, no matter how skillful they are - I know my Gran was terrified of pavement cyclists for fear of being knocked down...

No old ladies ride their bikes along this path .I had taken my speed off when i got to the group it was the suddeness of the action and wet leaves that had me off. Any way Im wasting my time here knew there was a reason I did not post in commuting very often.
